Calling for inter-faith tolerance and solidarity

mackay_canada_11While Wahhabi and Salafi preachers continue to spill their venom, calling on Islam vibrant youth to join their unlawful crusades in Syria and Iraq, the leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has offered a message of peace and tolerance.

While Saudi Arabia, the cradle of terror, went into overdrive in promoting the death of all Shia Muslims, on account they are a so-called Islamic aberration, Iran has acted a pillar of resolve and restraint, only too aware of the role it will have to play in giving the Islamic Ummah guidance and clarity.

Ayatollah Khamenei has again warned of persisting enemy schemes to incite and sow discord among the followers of Islam’s Shia and Sunni schools of thoughts across the region in a bid to undermine the wave of Islamic Awakening.

Ayatollah Khamenei has again warned of persisting enemy schemes to incite and sow discord among the followers of Islam’s Shia and Sunni schools of thoughts across the region in a bid to undermine the wave of Islamic Awakening.

“Today, the enemy is investing in civil wars in the region and pins hope on a Shia-Sunni war to relieve itself of the concern of Islamic Awakening,” he declared in a televised address this Saturday.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the ongoing crisis in Iraq and stated that the remnants of the ousted regime of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and a bunch of ignorant people are perpetrating crimes in that country.

“What is happening [in Iraq] is not a Shia-Sunni war. It is a war of terrorism against the opponents of terrorism and a war between pro-Westerners and the advocates of independence for nations,” Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out.

While Iran could have joined the war rhetoric and engaged in a religious cattle with Al Saud’s Wahhabis, its leadership has instead chosen to act a calming force amid the storm, a testament to Iran’s will to promote peace across the region, beyond sectarian lines.

The real enemies here are those calling for more bloodshed.
